Poor citing often leads to papers being rejected by journals. Use Writefull Cite to make sure you’re not missing citations!

Writefull Cite

Writefull Cite screens a text for information that should be supported by a reference. It flags sentences that have no citation but need one, helping you make sure you don't accidentally plagiarize.

Writefull Cite is available to institutions and publishers only. You can request a free trial for your institution here.

Why Writefull Cite?

Poor citing is a common pitfall of academic writing, leading to papers being discarded as not rigorous. Authors may forget to add citations where needed, and unintentionally plagiarize. Writefull Cite helps to avoid this issue.

How does it work?

Writefull Cite uses an AI model that evaluates the meaning of all sentences in a text, and assesses for each whether it presents non-general knowledge that should be supported by a reference. If so, it notifies the author or (copy) editor.
